Healthy Juice Recipe Spiced apple juice

Ingredients:

  • 2L (8 cups) apple juice

  • 2 x 7cm cinnamon sticks, lightly crushed

  • 6 whole cloves

  • 4 strips orange peel

  • 4 strips lemon peel

  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced

  • Ice cubes, to serve


Instructions:

  1. Place the apple juice, cinnamon, cloves and combined peel in a saucepan over high heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until aromatic. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool. Transfer to an airtight container and place in the fridge for 2 hours to chill.

  2. Strain the juice into a jug. Divide the apple and ice among serving glasses. Pour over the juice and serve.
